I have been asked to document my consumption of Media over a week, so below I have decided it would be more beneficial to put my findings into a chart for you:

This shows that I mainly use social media, e.g. Facebook, Snapchat, Twitter. This mainly takes up most of my time as I was using this to communicate with my friends and family. The next thing I use the most is the Television. Although I use this quite a lot, I have found that most of the time I am not paying attention but just watching passively. I was usually watching documentaries that were on at the time, not taking in anything I was seeing. 20 % of the time I was watching films as I enjoy watching films a lot. I re watched Pulp Fiction, Fight Club, Gladiator and a lot of Quentin Tarantino movies and also went to the cinema to watch Suicide Squad. As you can probably tell, I enjoy watching action, violence and iconic films. The next thing is magazines, which I do read now and again. I mainly read Kerrang! and Empire, a music and film magazine, as i like to keep up with the latest news in these industries. Lastly, radio. I listen to the radio in the mornings as it is my alarm when I wake up in the mornings, usually BBC Radio One or BBC 5 Live.

Next, I was asked to document my consumption of Media during two weeks, which again, I have put into a chart for you:

This time, during the two weeks I have read a book which adds to my consumption. I managed to read the book 'The Longest Ride' by Nicholas Sparks. This usually doesn't spark my interest but I decided to be ope to other genres and found out I quite enjoyed it. However, just like the previous chart, my main consumption came from Social Media which again, I used to communicate with friends and family. I watched less television as I felt I was being too passive towards it, so I cut down on my consumption. Everything else is mostly the sane as the previous chart, showing not much has changed apart from television and books.

However, after this, I decided to consume some media that I wouldn't usually consume in order to bring my knowledge of media up to date: I read The Daily Mail newspaper but however wasn't pleased, as I found myself conflicting with many of the stories. I decided to use Pinterest for my media work as it helped me group together the different forms of media. Lastly, I read a magazine I wouldn't usually read, which is the Closer magazine, mainly aimed towards women, and I found that they greatly enjoy criticizing celebrities.
