Peer Feedback -

The writer's target audience are current year 12 students (16-17 year olds) who are interested in playing rugby. We know this because the interviewed current students from year 12 and they said the club is 'for youths just about to begin A-Levels'.

The main purpose is to promote and advertise the upcoming 'MadDog' Rugby club.

It is very informative and the picture used will catch the reader's attention. Also, the interviews are very relevant and interesting.

A bit wordy , the vocabulary used means that it is aimed towards older audiences(parents of students maybe).

A strength of the layout is that the questions and answers are clearly structured and easy to see. the large font size of the Q and A make it easy to see the interview in the magazine.

A weakness is that the image fills up a large portion of a column which could have been used for writing. It doesn't match the professionalism of the writing. There is also a section of a column which is not filled up.

Personal Evaluation -

- Our article displays forms and conventions of real media products as, firstly, it uses interviews which are usually used in magazines to inform readers by drawing them in and getting them involved with the interviewee. Also, in the masthead, we displayed the date it was written and the issue number, to give off the impression that our article is that of a professional one.

- Our newsletter represents the social group that is mainly sporty, male teenagers aged 16-17. This can be displayed by the use of colour (red masthead) which appeals to the audience as red is often associated with males and quite often sports, such as rugby and football.

- The institution that will distribute our media product would probably be no official institution as it is made by students for students in the school, meaning that there would be no financial institution behind it.

- We attracted our audience by the use of colour, as mentioned before, as it appeals to our target audience and will instantly catch their eye. Another way in which we attracted our audience was by the use of the picture, as many of the people interested in the article will be able to recognise the picture as Lewis Moody (former England Rugby captain.)

- From constructing my newsletter, I have learnt not only that there are many more platforms that can help me when creating an article, but I also learnt how to use a handy platform called 'Indesign' which is quick and easy to use and now that I know how to use it properly I can use this platform in the future.
